Water Leak and Floor Temperature Monitoring
The SunTouch® SunStat® ConnectPlus™ Smart Sensor combines water leak detection and floor surface temperature sensing in one wireless device. It can serve as an optional floor temperature sensor for a radiant floor heating system while also monitoring the surrounding area for water leaks.
Wireless Connection to the ConnectPlus Thermostat
Built-in 915 MHz wireless technology connects the sensor to a SunStat ConnectPlus thermostat without running a sensor wire between the devices. Temperature and leak information is communicated through the paired thermostat, with alerts available through the ConnectPlus system.
Water Leak Alerts and Notifications
When water is detected, the sensor activates audible and visual alarms and transmits the leak notification to the ConnectPlus thermostat. The system can also provide email or push notifications through the connected thermostat, helping users respond quickly to a detected leak.
Battery-Powered Installation
The Smart Sensor operates on two included AA batteries with an expected battery life of approximately one year. An IP67 water-resistant enclosure protects the sensor, while integrated status indicators identify pairing, connection, leak, error, and low-battery conditions.
ConnectPlus Thermostat Compatibility
The Smart Sensor is designed exclusively for use with the SunStat ConnectPlus thermostat and does not connect to older SunStat thermostat models. When paired with ConnectPlus, sensor information can be incorporated into the thermostat's connected floor heating system.
