About This Product
Low-Expansion Foam for Windows and Doors
OSI® QUAD® Foam is a single-component, low-pressure polyurethane foam designed to insulate and seal around window and door frames. Its minimal expansion helps prevent warping or deformation while the cured foam remains flexible without cracking or drying out.
Air Sealing and Insulation
The closed-cell foam helps stop air and moisture infiltration and provides an insulation value of R4.1 to R5 per inch. It can also be used at jambs, mud sills, header joints, corner joints, top plate penetrations, and electrical and plumbing penetrations where air leakage or heat loss may occur.
Building Material and Flashing Compatibility
QUAD Foam bonds to common building materials including vinyl, aluminum, fiberglass, wood, OSB, PVC, concrete, drywall, and metal. It is also compatible with asphalt and butyl flexible flashing for use as part of window and door installation systems.
Cold-Weather Application and Fast Trimming
The foam can be applied at temperatures down to 14°F and can be cut or trimmed in less than one hour. For cold-weather applications, the can should be stored above 41°F for at least 12 hours before use.
Straw and Gun Application Options
The 16 oz. straw can is suited for smaller jobs and includes a reusable straw that can be cleaned with foam cleaner. The 21 oz. gun cartridge is intended for larger jobs and frequent use, providing controlled bead adjustment and the ability to reseal the can for later use when used with a compatible foam gun.
