Product Information
OSI® QUAD® Butyl Flash is a flexible, self-adhering flashing designed to protect window and door openings against moisture and air infiltration. The rubberized butyl backing adheres to common building substrates and uses self-healing technology to maintain protection around fastener penetrations.
Use QUAD Butyl Flash around window and door flanges, joints, cracks, and other gaps in exterior wall assemblies. It can also be used for above-grade wall flashing applications and installs in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
The UV-resistant HDPE design allows the flashing to be repositioned during installation. It adheres to common substrates including vinyl, wood, concrete, and certain weather-resistant barriers, although adhesion testing is required on WRBs before beginning a project.
Surfaces must be dry and free of frost and contamination before application. Concrete, masonry, and some exterior gypsum substrates may require primer for best adhesion, while cold-weather installations may require spray adhesive. Repositioning may be limited below 25°F (-4°C).
