One-Step Surface Preparation Before Painting
Krud KutterĀ® Gloss-Off Prepaint Surface Preparation is a no-rinse surface preparation solution designed to prepare glossy and other difficult-to-paint surfaces for repainting or refinishing. Its one-step formula de-glosses existing finishes while cleaning away contaminants that can interfere with paint adhesion.
Improves Paint and Finish Adhesion
The formula helps new paint and varnish bond to previously finished surfaces without sanding in many applications. It can also be used to prepare walls before wallpapering by removing residues that may affect adhesion.
Cleans Multiple Interior Surface Types
Gloss-Off removes dirt, grease, grime, smoke residue, mildew, food stains, heel marks, crayon, old wallpaper paste, and wax from painted or unpainted wood, metal, and vinyl wallpaper. It should not be used on porous or non-washable wallpaper, and surfaces not being refinished should always be tested first since the product will de-gloss most finishes.
