Product Information
BLUE BEAR® Verasafe® 760CE Muriatic Acid Replacement is an organic salt-based cleaner and concrete etcher designed to replace hydrochloric, sulfuric, and muriatic acids in supported applications. It delivers light etching and general cleaning without the strong acid fumes associated with conventional products.
The formula creates a light etch on clean, uncoated concrete, helping prepare the surface for compatible coating systems. It gives contractors and maintenance professionals a practical way to open the concrete surface without using traditional muriatic acid.
Verasafe 760CE also works as a general cleaner for supported surfaces and soils. The non-flammable formula has a very mild odor, contains less than 1% VOC, and is biodegradable based on its components. No separate neutralizing chemical is required after use.

Common Questions
Verasafe 760CE is an organic salt-based replacement for hydrochloric, sulfuric, and muriatic acids in supported light concrete etching and general cleaning applications. It does not duplicate every use or strength of conventional acids. Confirm compatibility with the specific material, contaminant, and coating system before beginning.
Remove all existing coatings and ensure the exposed concrete is clean and dry. Apply Verasafe 760CE full strength and allow it to remain for at least 10 minutes. Rinse the treated concrete thoroughly using a concentrated water spray before completing the remaining surface preparation.
No. Verasafe 760CE is not presented as a paint or coating stripper. All existing coatings must be removed before concrete etching, and the exposed concrete must be clean and dry. Use an appropriate removal product for the existing coating before proceeding with Verasafe.
For general cleaning, combine equal parts Verasafe 760CE and water using a 1:1 mixing ratio. Apply the solution generously, allow it to remain until the desired cleaning result is reached, and rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use this dilution for concrete etching.
No separate neutralizing chemical is required after using Verasafe 760CE. Rinse the treated area thoroughly with clean water. Before applying a coating, follow its requirements for concrete cleanliness, dryness, pH, and surface profile to confirm the prepared surface is ready.
Verasafe is biodegradable based on its components, non-flammable, and contains less than 1% VOC. It has a very mild odor and does not create traditional acid fumes. These properties do not make it hazard-free because the concentrated solution has a pH of 1.6 and requires appropriate handling.
Verasafe can cause serious eye irritation and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact, use appropriate eye protection and chemical-resistant gloves, and provide ventilation. Never mix it with bleach, hypochlorites, sulfides, cyanides, ammonia, or strong oxidizers because dangerous gases or heat may result.
