Alpha® GV Backer Pads provide a hook and loop attachment system for Makita® GV5000 and GV5010 Sanders, eliminating the need to attach polishing accessories with glues or adhesives. The pads fit the sanders' unique spindle and attachment configuration and are available in 4" and 5" sizes.
The backer pad combines a rigid, flat profile with enough flexibility to follow curved surfaces during polishing. This balance makes it suitable for working on bullnose edges while maintaining the support needed for polishing flat surfaces.
The hook and loop face accepts compatible polishing pads, sandpaper, felt wheels, and other hook and loop backed accessories. It can be used for applications involving stone, tile, metal, wood, and glass, giving fabricators and contractors greater accessory flexibility with compatible Makita sanders.
