Nuheat® Mat Repair Kit is designed to repair damaged resistance wire sections in Nuheat electric floor heating mats. The kit provides the components required to restore electrical continuity and insulation integrity when mat wires are damaged during installation.
Proper testing before and after repair is required to confirm resistance and insulation values and to maintain compliance with Nuheat installation and warranty requirements.
Kit Contents
- Hollow braided sleeve (shipped with internal lead wire to maintain shape)
- Replacement resistance wire section
- Three large heat shrink tubes
- Three small heat shrink tubes
Intended Use
- Repairing damaged resistance wire in Nuheat heating mats
- Restoring electrical continuity and insulation performance
- Use during installation prior to floor covering installation
Testing Requirements
- Insulation and resistance testing must be performed before, during, and after repair
- Testing must be completed using a digital ohm or multi-meter
- Measured values must fall within manufacturer-specified tolerance ranges
- Do not connect the heating mat to power during testing
