Alpha Wet Core Bits are diamond core bits designed for wet drilling of faucet mounting holes, plumbing penetrations, and utility stated holes in natural stone, engineered stone, concrete, and ceramic tile. They are commonly used for countertop and vanity installations as well as construction applications requiring clean circular openings.
These wet core bits utilize direct sintered diamond segments brazed to a steel core to provide consistent cutting speed and long service life. A 5/8"-11 threaded arbor allows compatibility with most water-fed polishers and drilling tools equipped with a central water-feed system or water swivel attachment.
Alpha Wet Core Bits are designed for use on drill presses with water swivel attachments or for freehand drilling with wet polishing tools. Wet operation is required to control heat and maintain segment performance. When drilling freehand, the use of a template and a backing support piece is recommended to help reduce backside chipping.
