Alpha Summit Final Polish is a polishing pad engineered for flat surface granite polishing on radial arm polishers. It is used as the final step in the Alpha Summit polishing system to develop high-gloss finishes and consistent surface reflection using a compressed tin oxide polishing compound.
The pad utilizes tin oxide as the primary polishing material in a heat-compressed form. This construction maintains a controlled concentration of polishing compound at the surface, allowing efficient material contact without excess compound loss. Unlike loose powder polishing, the compressed format minimizes waste and provides consistent polishing action throughout pad life.
The pad operates with a small amount of water for lubrication and cooling. This supports stable polishing performance while reducing slurry buildup and cleanup. It is commonly used in fabrication shops and monument production environments for polishing large flat surfaces, edge returns, and architectural stone components.
Two color options are available. Black pads are intended for dark granite, while white pads are intended for light granite. Black pads may also be used in sequence on darker stones to refine surface quality before final polishing.
