The small heat shrinks are used to connect the heating wire to the larger cold lead wire, while the large heat shrinks complete the connection over the metallic braid.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eInsulation and Resistance Testing\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe heating mat must be tested before, during, and after installation to validate the warranty. After completing the lead repair, insulation and resistance tests are required to verify the connections.
